Whew! I am soooo happy tonight! I finally finished Edgar's RR. My DH will post it in the mail to Edgar tomorrow morning. I really hope Edgar likes what I added - there was a really huge space left for stitching on his when it arrived here, so I filled it up for him... praying he likes it.... I stitched about a million WDW Charcoal x's on it in recent weeks. I never felt comfortable to bring it with me on any of my business trips, as I had to be responsible for someone else's fabric. With being home all this weekend, I got it done.

So very sorry, Edgar, that it took so long.

Hi,
I remain super confused as to when we are supposed to mail again. I admit I have been confused since Shelley dropped out and I had already stitched hers - then suddenly it was like I was behind.... so please bear with me. I have Edgar's and it is on my QSnaps and evolving so nicely. It will go home to him fairly soon - I chose something very dense to stitch. I have had to take on a huge new work project, and have been in NH only 8 days in June... July looks ultra busy but better. I should be able to work steady on his and get it home to him in a snap!

Any news at all on my RR? I checked in a while ago, but I don't think whoever has it answered back...

It is from PS Book 90 called Spring Fall - I used the recommended DMC floss - It was lots of fun to stitch and I know that Terry will be glad to have it back home!!

I finished Vonna's RR piece last night and it will be on it's way soon. I stitched Nevermore from Two Familiars by the Cross-Eyed Cricket. It was so much fun to stitch. I hope you like it Vonna. The color is more like the color of the fabric in the upper picture, the bottom one came out a little purply.

I finished up Terry's RR tonight, and I will be mailing it off to Edgar tomorrow morning. I apologize that the fabric looks so dull in my photos - so not even close to how it looks IRL... I did not use the flash since I was under lights in my finished basement... looks so gray here.

Terry's RR is starting to look a bit like a Halloween neighborhood to me, so after searching my stash a few times and scratching my head, I decided to continue that theme (and keep with the colors others have been using too) -

I chose a square from "A Prairie Year II" and think it fits really well with the other squares. I wanted to include some pumpkins and really lucked out - Now it is ready for the great shifting next month.

This month has totally gotten away from me! Oh heck, this whole year has gotten away from me - and stitching/stitching blogging is such a luxury when I can fit it in (so rare, but I hope it gets better!)... I finished Hannah's sweet RR today! I hope you like it Hannah - it seems we have all pretty much decided so far to keep with using Prairie Schooler charts for you - I think it has good balance and your colors all match. Which is a good thing! I had fun with it today - and off it goes to Edgar on Monday, unless the huge storm forecasted is soooo bad that even my DH is not willing to drive to the PO. But the forecast we just heard indicated that by mid to late day we should be able to get around ;-) Watch for it Edgar :-)

I finished up the on Vonna's RR this weekend - here is a snap -

Here is her glorious piece as it stands at the moment - I worked the witch at top - the pattern is from PS and is from teh Book "Harvest Time. I have so wanted to be able to use this witch on someones RR and it fit so well on Vonna's. I used HDF silks - Kodiak Bear and Brass Tacks. I will have it in the mail to Terry in the morning a bit before the great shifting next week.

Finally done! I stitched a Halloween house from Bent Creek's Holiday Houses. I took the pictures before I stitched in my initials. Also, Carol, I could have stitched in another tree, but my house is about 4 1/2inches away from the edge. The tree would have taken up another 1 1/2 inches. I wanted to leave you plenty of room to stitch in your own border if you wish and for framing. I hope you like it!

It's off to you, Vonna. I think the post office is closed tomorrow, so if it is, I will mail it on Tuesday... Sorry again for the delay.

Just a little note...

I haven't been around too much lately blog-wise. First, I became engaged :) Then, I was busy preparing for the holidays. Then the holidays came - along with tons of family. As soon as it all passed and life was getting back to normal - we were served with foreclosure papers. Unfortunately... or Fortunately? We are renters of a house that is being foreclosed on. We have been paying our rent on time each month, but our landlord has not been paying his mortgage.

This whole situation has caused a lot of stress. I'm really nervous about possibly being evicted at any time by the courts. Our landlord says that the foreclosure is not going to happen... but the papers show that he has not made any payments on the house since August. I checked online and he has not paid the taxes either. Unless the landlord can provide legal proof by the end of the week, we are planning to be out at the end of the month... but we have to find a new place to move to first. I am so scared to rent another house. You just never know these days... I guess.

Vonna - I have just a few more stitches... about 200... to put into Carol's RR and it will be on your way. I also already have a design picked out for Ulla's and it's not too complex, so it should be on time.

Terry - Please e-mail me before you send the next RR my way to make sure I have a good address to send you.

Please bear with me during this transition. I do not foresee getting behind on this. I will keep te group posted if I have any problems.

I think I am running behind everyone else, even though I thought I was ahead! It might be because I stitched on Shelley's RR and counted it, while everyone else has counted it out?? Not sure how that works...

Since Mike and I spent the evening watching DVD's, I had a great opportunity to stitch up Ulla's RR tonight... will post it off to Edgar tomorrow... I hope you like my block, Ulla. I have wanted to stitch this little Praiseworthy Stitches design for a while now, and your RR seemed to be a great chance to do so. I couldn't decide about stitching their trademake "PS" on it, but finally decided to do it since it balanced the design well... I hope that works OK for you...

Hi All,

Just to let you know that Shelley is withdrawing from the group due to illness. I've redid the mailing order and I've sent everyone the new edited list. We will just go with the 7 that we have left. It's almost too hard to find another stitcher at this time and I think we are all in agreement to just leave the group as it is.

Here's what I stitched for Hannah's RR...I chose to stitch the "cat in the moon" by Prairie Schooler from the leaflet entitled "Pumpkin Patch".

Here's the whole layout....I really like it:

I fell sort of skimpy that is all I stitched, but I think it goes well with Hannah's theme stitching from the same leaflet...and the new Halloween one from Prairie Schooler has a 4 patch with great designs that would work too....just my 0.02 worth...

I promise, I did not think I had to pretend to be dead to participate in this RR! Sorry not to have been too talkative, hopefully I will be able to participate more now. :)

I forgot to take a pic of the fabric for my piece. You'll all be seeing it anyway eventually, right? It's sort of a no-color, every-color mix Solo by Silkweaver. I bought it years ago, and finally found a use for it!

I just wanted to give a little peek at what I'm stitching for Ulla.

Like Ulla, I love pumpkins, but I found my stash was mostly Jack-o-lanterns. This little fellow is part of a trio I took out of a larger piece by A Stitcher's Hand. I believe that company is now out of business.

I pulled out ALL of my Halloween stash, and have big plans for some spooky S.E.X. as the RR continues... Plum Street Samplers has a great new one, have you seen it?

Here's my pumpkin RR which I sent to Shelley last week. I decided to choose two 32ct amber linen because I want to finish them as a two pillow. My theme is pumpkins so you can stitch anything with pumpkin on it. It could be fallish or halloweenish, it's stitchers choice. Stitching area is 58x58. To my area I stitched part of 4 My Boys' Autumn Splendor chart.

You can stitch funny, scary, halloween related items in each room, if you want a pumpkin on a chair, go for it! Witch? go for it! Bones? Perfect! Any Halloween critters is fine!

.... Nora Corbett's stunning new Halloween Fairy in the new issue of Cross Stitch & Needlework??? Just got mine yesterday and may have to drop EVERYTHING to stitch her up! Check it out! My scanner is down, but maybe I can get DH to scan it tonight and post a photo!

Ulla, I mailed mine today! The way mine is set up is: everyone can choose a room to stitch, or someone can choose the roof section and sky area to stitch! I will add the tombstones later with everyone's initials and the fence once I get it back! Please stitch your name in the room that you stitch in. Please make it small as not to overpower everyone's wonderful stitching!

I'm glad this is up and running!

Here is how my RR is leaving my clutches -

I still want to get something in the lower left corner and some spot stitching - hex signs ?? - something scattered about - I am pretty happy with the way the little quote looks - after frogging out some really sucky letters and floss - This looks way better - IMHO.
